Rees Announces "New" Self Monitoring E-Stop 30.5 Control

In response to the industry demand for higher quality and better performing safety products, Rees has developed and introduced a normally closed contact block with a surety adapter. Rees refers to this new contact block as an "O.U.R Block" (opens upon removal). Simply stated, the normally closed block would detect if it was not attached to the a standard operator (typical Rees 30.5mm e-stop operator)

As it is, if a N.C. block were to become detached from the operator for whatever reason, neither the machine operator or the equipment it is electrically attached to would know. This could be an unsafe condition, depending on the function of the contact block(s), since pushing of the P.B. operator would not break the intended circuit. Rees' new surety adapter causes the contacts of N.C. block to be held in an open position when the block is not attached to an operator.

Rees part number 52702-000 consists of the surety adapter with a N.C. block permanently attached to it. The adapter has a secondary plunger that comes in contact with the operator base so that when the assembly is screwed down to the operator the plunger is depressed moving an internal slide that allows the contact block to function normally. When the 52702-000, O.U.R. Block assembly is detached from the operator an internal spring pushes the plunger to move and be held in a semi-depressed position, thereby breaking the normally closed contacts.

The NEW O.U.R. Block mounts to any Rees 30.5mm PB Operator.

Ideally you would use this O.U.R. block with the current Rees 30.5 lockable emergency stop button and that part number with the O.U.R. block would be 40102-212. Comes assembled with two 52702-000 and one 50724-000. For more product information, or sample to evaluate please contact my office today.
